Happy Father's Day!

We had such a great day celebrating our Daddy, Popdaddy and Grandpa today!

Both of our families got together to spend the day at the Rockies game.

Riley sported her cute Rockies gear and had the best time dancing to the music, eating peanuts and hanging with her daddy

and Mommy too....

After the game we headed to Gigi and Popdaddy's house for a BBQ and some pool time...Riley and Daddy on Father's Day last year....not a fan of the pool just yet

This year she is so ready for the pool and loves to play in the water

We are so lucky to have a such a great daddy to snuggle us on the couch at the end of a long fun day of playing!

Friday Hike

For our mom and baby hike this week, we met up with our buddies at Chataqua Park in Boulder. It was a gorgeous day and a great hike.

While she enjoyed the ride up the mountain, Riey's favorite part was the end of the hike when she got to run free with her friends James and Alec.

That's right, I said run. Our little miss is now officially a toddler. As of yesterday Riley has completely abandoned crawling in favor of a much cooler way of getting around...walking! She loves this new found freedom and can't get enough of toddling around on her own.

Hiking!

Yesterday, we met up with our friends Katy and James, Erin and Alec, Lacey and Audrina and Anne and George for mom & baby/toddler hike in Eldorado Springs. I love to hike and took Riley on few trails last summer, but now that she is older this has a whole new appeal as she can enjoy it too! Despite all of the severe weather we have been having it was a perfect morning and we had a great time!

First Steps and Friends!

For about the last month little miss Riley has been on the verge of taking off on two feet. She has tested the waters for a while and will walk holding onto our hands or other objects and has been able to stand unassisted for longer and longer times, but she still doesn't quite want to go for it. This weekend, she got even closer to walking by taking a few steps all by herself!

Our friends Katy, Tim and James came down from Longmont to hangout and BBQ, so we had some help in encouraging Riley Roo in some walking practice. She loves an audience!

After we wore out her little legs, she got to take a rest and swing for a bit in her newly hung tree swing that she got for her birthday. She loves it!

To cap off her fun day of playing and performing, Riley got to take a sink bath with her good buddy James. These pictures of the cute bathing babies will definitely be appearing in the Nelson/Nichols wedding slideshow someday.
