Happy Halloween!

For Riley's 1st Halloween we couldn't decide on just one costume sooo............. she had 2. She was both a little pumpkin...

and in honor of her mom's first Halloween, a bunny. Thanks Diane for the adorable pink bunny ears!
She was a little bit too young for trick or treating this year, but we still had fun dressing her up and taking her around to see Grandma and Grandpa Nelson and GiGi and Popdaddy.

She also got to wear her costume to a Halloween themed playdate this week with our friends Erin and Alec, Katy and James, and Lacey and Audrina, what fun!

First Food!

Now that Little Miss is 6 months old we decided that it is time for her to start eating some real food. She has been really interested in watching us eat lately and she was so excited to give it a try herself.

Rice Cereal..... Yummo!
It was difficult to tell how much actually ended up in her mouth with everything on her face and on her tray

6 Months Old!

Happy half birthday to Riley! Wow...the last six months have really gone by fast and I can't believe our little one is already a half year old. Today she had her 6 month check--up and she is growing right along. She is still petite for her age at 13 lbs 1 oz and 25 1/4 inches long. We are starting her on solid foods this weekend and my hope is that she loves my cooking so much that she packs on little more weight for the winter.

Riley continues to be the happiest, smiliest baby I know ( I realize I may be a little biased) and I am so lucky to get to stay home with her everyday. She is really starting to move now and while she can't crawl just yet she has figured out how to roll to get where she wants to go so we really have to keep our eye on her. Baby proofing here we come! She has really started to play with toys this month and loves, loves, loves to put anything and everything in her mouth. It's so much fun to watch her as she discovers new things that she can do.

Oklahoma & Happy Birthday Kris!

Last weekend we made a trip down to Oklahoma for another Francis family wedding. It was Riley's 2nd airplane ride and she was perfect! This has been a busy year for our family with Riley's arrival, 3 weddings and my mom's 60th birthday next month we are getting to see alot of each other. It's always great to go down there and visit our fave shopping spots and restaurants in Stillwater and we also managed an Eichen's stop on Friday to celebrate Kris' 28th birthday.

All dressed up for Kurt's wedding, she was facinated by the bubbles her cousin Madeline was blowing for her.

Tea at the Brown Palace

Last weekend Riley got to have tea at the Brown Palace...her second time in less than 6 months! Grandma Michelle had family in town from Virginia so on top of meeting cousins Kim and John and her great great Uncle Buddy, Riley also got to take part in this special girls outing for high tea. It was fabulous!Outside the Brown Palace with Kim and Grandma Michelle

The Zoo

Today was Riley's first trip to the zoo! We joined Katy & James and Amberly & Taylor in taking advantage of free day at the Denver Zoo. The weather as you can see has been absolutely gorgeous so it was a great day to go see the animals.

2 Teeth!

On Friday we discovered a new addition to Riley's mouth...teeth! She debuted her new chompers while were out shopping with her great Aunt Phoebe and cousin Madeline, we were so surprised! I had a feeling that all the chewing and the drooling were heading in this direction. I have tried but failed for now in capturing the teeth on camera, so just a cute Riley pic instead.

Dress Up

I couldn't help myself when I found a tiny pink tutu...Riley had to have it. I firmly believe that every little girl needs at least one tutu to accompany her magic wand. So, we decided to play dress up with the tutu and a fabulous pink headband (I think that eveyone is starting to become aware of my love of outrageous bows).
She loved posing for the camera in all her poufyness!Wait...what is this thing again?
