Happy 4 months sweet Olivia!
This month, our littlest miss has been busy growing and changing! She is showing us more of her little personality than we have ever seen before and getting to know her so much better.
She eats when she's hungry
She sleeps when she's tired and
she is happy, happy, happy when she is awake!
We could not ask for a better addition to our family!
For a baby who came into the world 3 weeks early and weighing 8 pounds, we were just certain that this Nelson girl would be topping the charts for weight. We were wrong. As of her 4 month check up, Olivia weighs 11 lbs 5 oz which is about the 5th percentile. I couldn't believe it, she looks so chunky with her cute little chubby rolls and everyone has been commenting on how big she is getting...so I made them weigh her again on a different scale. Same result...oh well. But what our healthy little girl lacks in pounds she makes up for in inches because she is in the 75th percentile for her height and she is all around perfection as far as we're concerned ;)
I know that I might be biased, but I really am not exaggerating when I say that Olivia is an exceptionally happy and contented baby. It seems almost too good to be true that she can be smiley All. The. Time, but she is. Her favorite thing is to be talked to and she will coo and smile and chat right back. She even loves being parked in front of the mirror in her bouncy chair to blab with that adorable baby that chats and smiles right back at her.
Her second favorite thing seems to be sleep. She loves to be cuddled while she snoozes and in exchange for snuggles, she will sleep 6 and sometimes 8 hour stretches at night...I have zero complaints. Thanks to football playoffs this month, we have discovered that enthusiastic cheering usually scares the crap out of her. We have however made her sport some pretty cute Bronco gear lately.
What does this say? 4 months?!
I am still try to figure out this 3 kid thing and I definitely don't deserve to such a laid back little miss, but I am so thankful that she is so happily thriving amongst all of our craziness. We are having soooo much fun with this new baby! We love you sweet girl!
