A few years ago, we started a new family tradition of heading up to the mountains to cut our own Christmas tree. Last year, we were so excited to take Riley for the very first time and were all set with snow gear and sled, but the weather didn't cooperate so we settled for a tree lot instead. Determined not to be dissapointed this year, we decided to take advantage of the perfect (but cold) weather yesterday and head up to Winter Park for our first Christmas Tree hunt with Riley. We had Gigi, Popdaddy and Grandpa with us and the only thing that could have made our day better would have been if Bunky Ry, Auntie Kelly and Grandma could have come too. While Riley had mixed emotions about this fun, family tradition, overall I think that she really enjoyed it
Our vision of a cute little toddler riding happily up the hill in her sled we dashed when about 50 feet from the car, she decided that the ride sucked and it would be much more fun to walk in the snow. So, we slowly made our way up with little stops to throw Miss R in the snow banks which she thought was pretty good fun.
After finding each family a perfect Christmas tree, the guys got the fun task of carying the trees back down to our car, it was then that we realized how far up we had gone. We actually convinced our little snow bunny to give her legs a rest and let us pull her part of the way down. I also think that the hot chocolate waiting for us at the bottom was a big draw.

So much fun! You had much more Christmas-y weather than we had. I think it was like 70 the day we went and definitely not enough snow for a sled ride! Riley looks adorable in her snowsuit!
