Last weekend, the Nichols invited us to spend a few days with them at there cabin up in the mountains. It was a great little winter getaway! There was sledding, snowball fights, hot chocolate, games, movies and just lots of fun with our friends!
Riley can stay out in the cold for a LONG time and James was exactly the same, the two of them had a ton of fun playing in the snow...and ganging up to attack Bunky Ry.
Piper's best friend for the weekend was definitely Jax. She LOVES dogs and Jax is the ultimate kid friendly dog so she was in heaven.
We have been wanting to get Riley on skis for a while, but with Piper being teeny tiny last year we just never made it up to slopes to let her have a try. Last year she talked all the time about skiing, but this year her enthusiasm had completely faded and we were a little worried that we had missed our chance to get her excited about it. Lucky for us, her buddy James loves to ski and his excitement rubbed off on Roo. She will definitely need to have some lessons, but for now she just loved getting to try it out!
We had an awesome weekend and we got to come home to the biggest snow storm of the year in Denver, so there is more snow fun in our future!
