We kicked off our 4th of July a little early this year with a Rockies game and fireworks show on the 3rd. Coors field always puts on an amazing display and this year was no different! The girls doned their purple Rockies gear and munched on hot dogs, peanuts and ice cream.
Riley has never been a big fan of the booms that come with fireworks and usually watches the show with plugged ears, but this year she decided that she didn't need to do that and she was enjoying the show more than she ever has. Piper was in awe and and not at all bothered by the sound, she just kept pointing a the sky with a huge smile on her face. It was a great night!
We spent the 4th hanging out close to home and celebrating with our friends and neighbors. First up was the annual Pond bike parade where Riley got to decorate and ride her bike with all of her little friends and Piper got to have her stroller decked out with a little 4th of July flair too.
Later in the afternoon, we headed over to some friends for a BBQ. After good grub and lots fun we skipped out on another fireworks show and opted for bed instead. Our late night at the baseball game had worn us out! It was a long, fun holiday!
