This weekend, we bundled up and headed out in the snow to search for the perfect Christmas Tree. This annual trek up to Frasier is a tradition that we started with my family several years ago, but it gets better and better each year now that we have Miss Riley to share it with. This year we had Gigi, Popdaddy and Grandpa with us too.
There was plenty of snow to play in, so while we waded through the deep stuff to find our tree, Riley was content to stay back on the trail and throw snowballs and make snow angels.
She was also pretty excited about getting to bust out her sled for a real ride through the snow...while fun, it just hasn't been quite the same having mommy and daddy pull her around the basement in the sled.
Of course every good expedition into the snow deserves some yummy hot chocolate, so after we made it back down, Riley sat in her sled sipping her warm beverage while we loaded the tree onto the car.
Perfect day, perfect tree. We had so much fun!

So much fun! The snow makes Christmas tree hunting much more festive, we have had no snow and 50 degree weather the past 2 years! Love Riley Roo's snow gear, as usual she is too cute!
