Oklahoma Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving, we tried something we haven't done before with our 3 kiddos....roadtrip!  Riley had a whole week off from school and we decided to take advantage of her break by spending the holiday with our Oklahoma family.  Kris needed to stay and work for a couple of days (or so he said) and so the girls and I caravanned down with Gigi and Pop.  We packed our van full of snacks and armed the girls with DVD players hoping that it would make the 12 hour drive fly by.  They were awesome!
The girls wasted no time smothering their great Uncle Johnny
And Olivia immediately fell in love with the Christmas decorations that Aunt Judi and Uncle John had put up just in time for our visit.
As an added bonus, the newest member of the Shoemake family made his appearance just in time for us to meet him.  6 little friends!
It makes my heart happy to see how much fun these little girlies have together...they might be just a little bit like their mamas :)
The littlest members of our family got to meet one another for the first time too.  Olivia thought it was pretty much fun to sit on Hayden's lap.

There was of course Thanksgiving and that we filled with lots and lots of time to play with cousins, stuffing ourselves with all our favorite foods and of course the opportunity to trot out matching Christmas jammies!

Aunt Judi found the perfect matching nightgowns for the girls, 4 mini Elsas!

And then a special meeting with Elsa and Ana at the Myriad Gardens
We could not get over the amazing Christmas decorations down there...seriously, who doesn't love a gigantic Christmas ornament.

The Christmas lights were an absolute hit with the girls...they are absolutely amazing!
We had so much fun driving around and hearing the little gasps of excitement from the back seat.  I wish we could take some of these trees home with us.
Before we left, we had a little impromptu party for Pipey.  A chance to celebrate her birthday a few days early with some of her favorite people.

We are so very blessed and thankful for the amazing family that we have and very grateful for all of the memories made when we come together.  I can't wait till next time!
