Happy Easter!
Happy Easter! Riley had a really great day which started off with a basket full of really great suprises thanks to the Easter Bunny. She was so excited to see her basket as she came down the stairs and was also very happy that the snack she had left for E.B. went over very well. Before heading off to church, she got to open her Easter surprises and she also found lots of eggs to open that the Bunny had hiden around our house. She had been asking for the Easter Bunny to bring some "nim nims" aka M&Ms, the only real candy that she has gotten to have on occasion, and he did not dissapoint. I think if that was the only thing in her basket this morning that would have been just fine with her.
After church, Gigi and Popdaddy hosted the annual Easter celebration complete with an egg hunt for Riley and her cousin Isabella. With all of her practice over the last week, she was really excited to use her skills yet again and probably could have stuck with that activity for the entire afternoon had there been an unlimited supply of eggs to hide. Her cousins Brayden and Jillian diligently followed her around while she hunted so that should wouldn't have to be bothered with toting her basket and she could just get to the real business of finding all of the "presents".
And of course it wouldn't be Easter in our family without the traditional lamb cake and the drawing for the head. This year I managed to make the cake a little more festively plump than usual and Kris was the luckly winner of the head. It was such a perfect day!

Love the lamb cake! And Riley needed to come hang out with the Nichols' cousins in that outfit-she would have fit right in :-)
