Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on it's way!

We have had alot of fun getting ready for Easter with Riley this year.  This past weekend, we went to a couple of organized egg hunts, one that the city of Arvada put on and the other at the Butterfly Pavillion.  Riley was completely unfazed by all of the kids who were ruthlessly lunging for and grabing eggs around her while she took her time carefully chosing the very best eggs.  She proved herself to be quite the good little egg hunter.

Last night, we had our friends the Nichols over for dinner so that Riley and her buddy James could decorate some Easter eggs together.  They both pretty much loved plunking the eggs in the cups with such gusto that the dye splashed all over.  In the end, we had some very vibrant and beautiful Easter eggs and two happy toddlers.

Riley also got to have 2nd round of Easter egg dying today with her Grandma and Grandpa.  They were pretty impressed with her skills and particullary loved her technique for placing the eggs in the cups.

Before she went to bed tonight, Riley needed to leave the Easter Bunny a carrot and she also thought he might want some water.  Of course since the Easter Bunny was getting a carrot, she thought she better have one too.
